I am an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist with years of experience in bereavement, traumatic loss and grief, eating disorders, addiction, anxiety and mental health issues. I am based in Plymouth, Devon and offer sessions both face to face and in person.

About me and my practice

I have a homely and welcoming practice and am extremely passionate about my work and helping others. I started my counselling career after receiving counselling myself for childhood trauma which completely changed my life and my life choices for the better.

I am integrative trained so I can provide therapy tailored to the client.

I engage in clinical supervision, am continually adding to my knowledge through training to ensure that I am always doing the best for my clients.

Experience

After completing my diploma in counselling I worked voluntary for a bereavement charity and was trained in traumatic loss and grief. I spent 7 years with that organisation continuing my training to supervisor level and was a board member for the charity. This training and experience has provided me with a strong basis for my practice as loss is experienced by everyone in one form or another. I have also worked with eating disorders for 4 years and also addiction. Throughout my career I have worked with anxiety and depression which are often created as a direct result of trauma, life challenges and experiences.

Qualifications

BSC social policy and administration.
Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling.
Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic counselling.
Diploma in Supervision.
Diploma in Sandplay therapy.

Initial Consultation

I offer a 30 minute free of charge initial consultation where we will spend time getting to know each other so that we can both decide if we are a good fit to work together.

Fees

£50 per 60 minutes.

When I Work

I work Monday to Friday with a range of daytime and evening appointments to suit the client.
